New Year Greeting Cards

Three things are enough: a warm greeting, one line about the year behind you - a thank-you or a shared memory - and one wish for the year ahead. Two or three lines beat a long message. Copy any phrase on this page as it is, or start a card with it already written, add the names, and send it on New Year's Eve or in the first days of January.

At midnight you will hear «كل عام وأنتم بخير» (kul aam wa antum bikhair) most - literally 'may you be well every year'. It suits anyone, from family to your manager, and the reply is «وأنتم بخير» (wa antum bikhair). «سنة سعيدة» (sana saeeda) is the word-for-word Happy New Year, lighter and perfect for friends. Every card here can also be made in Arabic, so each person gets the version they will love.

Keep it short and professional: a greeting, thanks for the year's work or trust, and a wish for success in the year ahead, with nothing too personal.
